Current Artists and Collections:

Today the gallery actively represents both exclusively and non-exclusively the work of over 100 working photographic artists. These range from Barbara Van Cleve, Jody Forster, Miguel Gandert, Annie Leibovitz, Michael Kenna to Henri Cartier Bresson and O. Winston Link. In addition we have work by many classic and historic photographers beginning with William Henry Fox Talbot, the inventor of the negative to positive process in 1840, and including such luminaries in the field as Alfred Stieglitz, Ansel Adams, Laura Gilpin, Timothy O'Sullivan, William Henry Jackson and Edward Weston. Among the subject areas we inventory are portraiture, landscape, documentary, fashion, still life, alternative process, New York City, the American West, and the American Indian.

The Andrew Smith Gallery is the world's leading photography gallery selling nineteenth and twentieth century classical and contemporary original photographs. Located in the historic plaza district of Santa Fe, NM, the Andrew Smith Gallery has been in the business of buying, selling and exhibiting fine historic and contemporary photography since 1974. Beginning with the sale of three Edward Curtis prints to the Madison Art Center in that year, Andrew Smith expanded his interests in both finding important collections and masterpieces and in exhibiting an eclectic mixture of the finest regional, national and international fine art photographs. In the past 10 years the gallery has had an estimated 500,000 visitors. We specialize in buying, collecting and selling a wide range of work according to our artist's, visitor's and collector's varied interests.
